Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the headline attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s the second and final of two attractions in the land, joining the already-open Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. The ride opened at Walt Disney World on December 5, 2019 in Galaxy’s Edge within Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

That’s right folks, starting September 23rd, you’ll be able to ride Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios WITHOUT a Boarding Group. Instead of trying to join the virtual queue, guests will be able to use the traditional standby queue.

Crowds have poured into Galaxy’s Edge to join the standby line, with the wait time reaching over a whopping two and half hours only 30 minutes after opening on November 22.
Is Rise of the Resistance drop scary?
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a moderately scary ride, but not as scary as Expedition Everest or Tower of Terror. That said, you should be prepared for loud blasts, explosions, and intense battle scenes.
Will Rise of the Resistance make me sick?
Motion sickness may be an issue
But, even though there is a LOT going on with this attraction (and we have had issues with motion sickness on all of the attractions that we find Rise of the Resistance to feel the most similar too), we didn’t find that we had much trouble riding it.
