Yes, you can stay directly across the street from the Disneyland Main Entrance and easily walk across the street to the Entrance, that would be the prefered closest area if you want to walk.

Today, none of the original hotel buildings from 1955 remain standing. Very little of the original hotel other than parking areas and service facilities survive, sitting outside of the perimeter created by the three remaining guest room towers.
The monorail passes through California Adventure and the Grand California hotel, but you can’t board in either of those places. You can’t take it to the Disneyland Hotel, either – although you could do that years ago before the hotel moved. The Downtown Disney stop is just a short walk from today’s Disneyland Hotel.
Like the name suggests, the Courtyard Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance by Marriott is just steps away from the entrance to both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. It is located on Harbor Blvd. just a five minute walk away and is one of our favorite hotels across the street from Disneyland.
The walk from Paradise Pier Hotel to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure usually takes about 15 minutes, depending on how fast you walk. Another option is to take the Disneyland Monorail. Guests who catch the monorail at Downtown Disney will be dropped off at the Tomorrowland Monorail Station.
How many days should you spend in Disneyland parks? Though there are just 2 parks at Disneyland Resort, there are still plenty of attractions and things to do. What is this? Ideally, you should plan on spending a total of 3-4 days in the parks to cover most everything, including rides, characters, shows, and fireworks.
There is no additional charge to ride the Monorail with your theme park admission. However, keep in mind that if you have a 1-Park per Day ticket, in order to ride the Monorail, you will need to use that day’s admission for Disneyland Park only.
