What do you love about Disney? I love seeing the delight on my little girls’ faces (and my husband’s too!) as we go from ride to ride and they discover the magic of Disney! The cleanliness of the parks and the attractions that are fantastic for every age makes it even better!

Which Disney park is your favorite and why? My favorite Disney park is the Magic Kingdom!!

Disney Fan Feature

Which Disney ride would we see your family ride over and over (without lines of course)? Oh my gosh, well we have ridden the Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure in California Adventure over and over again (without lines!)!

Which Disney movie do your kids enjoy the most…and which one do YOU love the most?  Too many to choose!!  The latest favorite is Wreck It Ralph but anything with Princesses or Tinkerbell and her friends is usually on repeat.

If you could be any Disney character, who would you be and why? I would be Tinkerbell, she is a lot of smart and a little sass.

What is your favorite Disney memory? My favorite Disney memory is having my husband propose to me in the Rose Garden of Cinderella’s Castle.

Choose any two words to describe what Disney means to you: Family and magic

Monstrous Summer kicks off at the Disney Parks!

May 23, 2013 in California Adventure, Disney World, Disneyland by Amy and Sara

Disney Parks on both coasts kick off a “Monstrous Summer” on May 24th with unprecedented all-nighters in three parks (Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort, as well at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort). Yes, that’s TOMORROW! And, we’ll be there!!! The parks will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m.!! Although we’re not going to be staying the full 24 hours (this mama hasn’t pulled an all-nighter like that in years! ;) ), we’ll be there for a good portion of Friday to experience the monstrous fun! I’ve heard there may be some extra fun things like special fireworks, dance floors, live entertainment, and more!
While at the Disney Social Media Moms conference just shy of two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hearing Walt Disney World President George Kalogridis share about Disney Parks’ “Monstrous Summer”.
Monstrous Summer
The official announcement was made a few weeks prior in extra monstrous fashion as the sphere of Spaceship Earth in Epcot was transformed from Disney Parks icon to Disney●Pixar “Eye-con,” becoming a 180-foot-tall, fully animated Mike Wazowski from the upcoming Disney●Pixar film Monsters University.Monstrous Summer kickoff

More Monstrous Summer Fun:

The All-Nighter is just the beginning of the summer fun. In California, vacationers at “The Happiest Place on Earth” will see how Disneyland Resort “Just Got Happier” with dazzling new entertainment such as the “Mickey and the Magical Map” stage show. It also is the first summer for guests to experience the new Fantasy Faire with Disney Princesses at Disneyland. Plus, guests continue to enjoy the exciting new offerings of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure (which debuted June 15, 2012). We’ll be catching a press preview of “Mickey and the Magical Map” tomorrow evening. So, be sure to follow along on instagram & twitter with the hashtags #JustGotHappier  and #MonstrousSummer! Plus, check the facebook page for updates as well!

Walt Disney World “Monstrous Summer” includes new offerings and popular favorites in all four parks. This is the first summer for New Fantasyland (it’s amazing!!), which opened in December. Guests also will find new, engaging offerings for the entire family throughout the Walt Disney World Resort this summer such as an interactive “Pirates Adventure” game at Magic Kingdom, the newly re-imagined Test Track at Epcot (we just got to experience this and loved it!!!), the new Disney Junior show (the little ones loved it!), featuring Sofia The First and Doc McStuffins, as new additions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, plus Wilderness Explorers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that will bring families together in exciting new ways. As part of Limited Time Magic – a year of surprise and delight moments – Cinderella Castle will be the canvas for a new, summer-long projection show celebrating the joys of the season. Guests will see Lilo and Stitch hit the beach, head “Under the Sea” with Ariel and get Goofy during scenes that pay homage to summer fun.
