The holidays are officially here and what better way to celebrate the season than with themed entertainment, decorations, treats and fun at the Disneyland Resort.
We spent a fun filled day at the newly expanded Disney California Adventure Park, which received a phenomenal seasonal makeover for this special time of year that runs from November 12th through January 6th, 2013.
Cars Land and Buena Vista Street are celebrating their first holiday season at Disney California Adventure Park and are decked out in full seasonal décor.
After all, what would Radiator Springs be without a “snowcar”?
Each address along Route 66 is decorated to reflect the personality of the character who live there.
A 50 foot Christmas tree adorns Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street, which is the perfect backdrop for the parades. We also dined at Carthay Circle Restaurant and enjoyed the vintage decorations there as well. If you happen to be in Carthay Circle during dusk, join the Buena Vista Street Community Bell Ringers as they ring their bells during the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree.
One of the things we enjoy most about Disney is that each and every experience we have creates memories and traditions for us as a family. From our Disney Vacation Club home of Aulani to Disney World and back to Disneyland, the holidays are one more precious time for us.
Guests of the Disneyland Resort will enjoy some of their most prized holiday traditions as they watch “A Christmas Fantasy” parade and enjoy fireworks and snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. There is also a new ice rink for the holidays in Downtown Disney! Guests can rent ice skates and skate in this first ever ice skating rink near ESPN Zone and AMC Theatres. Tink lovers will certainly appreciate this rink which pays tribute to “The Secret of the Wings”, the new Tinker Bell adventure released to DVD and Blu-ray by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
And don’t miss “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, an amazing holiday tradition at Disneyland. Guests will surely enjoy seeing all of their favorite Disney characters celebrate this magical season as they wrap gifts, bake treats, and prepare for Santa’s arrival.
Disneyland will also celebrate Three Kings Day from January 4th through 6th, 2013 and honor this Latin American holiday tradition with special food, decorations and entertainment.
